The Murchison Land Conservation District Committee is the organization within the district concerned with all aspects of landcare. The area covered by this LCDC incorporates the Murchison Shire. This encompasses an area of over 44,000 sq. kms and 29 pastoral stations in a district historically known for growing wool but increasingly looking to other forms of income.
